Father Cassock dies after nearly 30 years as priest

In March, a retired Catholic priest named Father Cassocks death was announced by the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

He had been living in a nursing home in the Missouri suburb of Roseville for almost 30 years.

The Archdiocesan press release said Cassocks passing was “a sad loss to our entire parish community.”

Cassocks family, including his sister, had no comment.

The archdiocese has not released a cause of death.

The release said the priest was in hospice care when he died.

In a news release on Friday, the archdiocesary said Cassock had “remained in hospitable care for a number of years” and had “suffered from dementia for the past several years.”

In the news release, the Catholic Archdioguesical Commission said the release was “in the process of being reviewed.”
