A Texas pastor has been arrested after authorities say he abused children over several decades.
The Dallas Morning News reports that in September of 2015, Texas State Trooper Justin Condon and Dallas County Sheriff’s Office detectives began investigating Pastor Travis Clark.
Authorities say Clark was a leader in the Christian Pentecostal denomination and had been in charge of a home for homeless youth in north Texas.
They say Clarks molested children in his care, and that he even abused his own son, who was 15 years old at the time.
In a press release, the sheriff’s office said Clark had been convicted of felony child molestation and was awaiting trial on a misdemeanor charge.
In the years following his arrest, Clark’s family filed for divorce and began a court battle to get the charges against him dropped.
The family settled for $1 million in October 2016.
